| | 弃儿小男男12月2日住进了广州首座孤残儿童观察楼。护士说，他出生不足10天，送来时脐带还未剪。男男是入住观察楼的首批弃婴之一，今后所有新进来福利院的弃婴都将先在这里接受观察、体检和养护。
广州首座 首批50人新收弃婴入住
据悉，广州市儿童福利院还计划在5年内再建孤残儿童异肢矫形康复大楼和孤残儿童特殊教育大楼。12月2日，市福利院进行了广州首座孤残儿童观察楼和学童楼的落成典礼，这座投资1000万元的综合慈善楼由富力地产捐资建成的。广州市市长张广宁等领导出席了落成典礼。
新收弃婴观察后分类养护
新落成的弃婴弃童观察楼又名富力慈善楼，总建筑面积5604平方米，楼高6层，有200个床位，集观察、医疗于一体，配备专业医护人员及医疗器械。大楼于去年12月6日兴建，投入使用后，大楼将对弃婴（童）进行观察、分类、检查、甄别和养护。据了解，观察楼建成后首批入住50人，均是新收弃婴（童），小男男是其中年龄最小的一员。“刚被送来时脐带没有剪，因为是个男孩，我们就先叫他‘男男’。”
观察室一位医生说，儿童福利院平均每天可以接收两个孩子，“每个月都有五六十个孩子，但也有些孩子被收养。”他说，男男是为数不多的健康婴孩，现在症状只是营养不良，“配合治疗观察一段时间会恢复健康。”
5年内再建残儿异肢矫形楼
记者了解到，为了给孤残儿童提供更好的学习和生活条件，在民政部门积极推动下建成的学童楼昨日同期落成。该楼投资870万元，其中市政府投资400万元，省市福利彩票基金资助300万元，社会捐助170万元。总建筑面积3150平方米，楼高6层，设置床位200张，楼内设有电话教学室、文娱活动室、图书室、学习辅导室等，集居住、学习、娱乐等功能一体，为孤残儿童提供了优越的学习、生活条件。
据福利院一负责人介绍，在院内生活的孩子都是弃儿，且残疾率达95%以上，多因脑瘫、肿瘤、唇鄂裂等疾病遭到遗弃，而其中肢残者较多。为了让弃童接受相应的文化教育，还能接受康复训练，福利院计划在5年内再建异肢矫形康复矫正大楼和特殊教育大楼，“针对残疾儿童，让他们得到康复和教育的权利。”该负责人告诉记者，建楼计划已经提上工作议程，目前正在筹集资金
